Rajasekhar and Jeevitha, the star couple, have again hit the headlines. And, again for the wrong reason. What's wrong with you guys??
First, Rajasekhar's script is stolen. Then comes an `attack' on his family allegedly by Chiranjeevi's fans -- for a week thereafter, the two are all over the TV prompting Chiru to apologise. Next, Rajasekhar joins the Congress, seeking to contest against the megastar himself. Now, he goes to board a flight to Chennai with a gun and live cartridges!!
Surely, there is something wrong here!! This is too filmy to be true!! Or is it simply a case of facts being stranger than fiction?
The angry young man is currently busy filming his, 'Satyameva Jayate', -- grapevine has it that the Hindi film, 'Khaki', triggered this brainwave. I strongly believe Rajasekhar is perfect for such supercop roles. That's his forte. But why on earth did he star in such a sentimental movie as 'Gorintaku'? It is something that beats my imagination.
By the way, for the uninformed, 'Gorintaku' is a modern imitation of the sibling-tragedy, 'Rakta Sambandham', (Blood Relation) featuring NTR and Savitri. Brother and sister duo dies much in the same way as in the old flick which brings us to an interesting question: why should a brother and sister always die in our movies? Not a single movie that deals with siblings, I repeat, not a single movie, has had a happy ending.
Be it 'Rakta Sambandham', or the more recent, 'Rakhi' of Jr NTR, or the whole lot of Balakrishna's films, the sister inevitably meets with a tragic fate. I dread the festival of Rakhi. Every channel airs a tragic movie on that day. It's sickening! Thought at least Rajasekhar would reverse the trend but he too has disappointed. Maybe it's the sister formula -- like the mass formula our directors have. As for Rajasekhar, here's hoping truth triumphs in the end and he comes out with flying colours.
